Useful reporting before volume
Local Service Ledger is a new local publication about home services and other work delivered by local professionals. Its purpose is to make complicated service decisions easier to investigate: what a scope should include, how a local rule is verified, why estimates differ, and which questions protect a reader from avoidable surprises.
The publication covers Tampa Bay only. No other metro desk is being planned or scaffolded. Any future scope change requires an explicit owner decision and a separate editorial-readiness review. A commercial opportunity by itself is never a reason to expand.
What makes a story local
A city name is not local reporting. Every indexable article must document original value such as a comparison of jurisdiction records, a transparent local calculation, a verified interview, a real project record, or a synthesis that saves readers from navigating several difficult primary sources.
