About this byline
Local Service Ledger Editorial Team is a shared organizational byline, not the name of an individual reporter. We use it for work produced through the publication's research, editing, and approval process. We do not attach invented names, biographies, or portraits to stories.
How articles are produced
Our process begins with a local reader question and a research record. AI may assist with organizing material, outlining, drafting, editing, formatting, and consistency checks. The article itself must rest on cited sources and documented local evidence; an AI suggestion does not establish a fact.
What the byline means—and what it does not
The byline means the publication accepts responsibility for the article. It does not imply that someone visited a property, inspected work, interviewed a source, or witnessed an event. When firsthand reporting took place, the article should say what happened and how it was documented.
Review and transparency
Every article includes a production note and source list. Publication authorization is distinct from independent human fact-checking; the byline does not establish that a named journalist checked every claim. The article's method should describe the checks actually performed. Business relationships are disclosed when relevant to the reporting.
