Monroe’s September 17 announcement schedules another Georgia Street Pump Station project crossing for Monday, September 21, 2026, at 7 a.m., until further notice. It describes a Beauregard Street crossing between Alabama and Mississippi—not simply the Pecan/Mississippi location in the September 1 notice. These are announced arrangements checked September 19, not confirmation that work started or that a road is presently passable. September 17 notice.
The September 21 plan and access instructions
The latest reviewed notice places the crossing on Beauregard Street between the Alabama and Mississippi intersections; it also says the work will cross Alabama and Mississippi streets. Preserve that wording when asking the City about an address rather than drawing a detour map from an ambiguous description.
The notice lists:
- For residents north of the crossing: Jackson Street, South 2nd Street or Pecan Street.
- For travel south: Winnsboro Road, Georgia Street or South 4th Street.

Read the underlying August 21, August 24, August 26, September 1 and September 17 announcements. Publication date, intended start and anticipated reopening are different fields. A repeated project name does not make the notices interchangeable.
The August 26 discrepancy prevents a reliable actual-start date from being inferred from that page alone. Likewise, the two earlier 6 p.m. forecasts do not prove those crossings reopened on time. None of these reviewed announcements provides a confirmed completion record for the entire pump-station project.
What changed in this guide
The earlier article described a “42-foot” force main. The notices use a single-prime notation that we have not independently reconciled with engineering specifications. We removed our unsupported conversion rather than substituting another assumed dimension.
We also replaced the generic project-record checklist with the dated crossing comparison and moved this traffic-access guide out of the household-plumbing category. A roadwork notice does not establish a residential plumbing problem, utility outage or repair recommendation.
Reporting basis
LSL read the five dated City notices on September 19, 2026 and compared their locations, announced schedules and access instructions. A duplicate City page carrying the August 21 text was not counted as a separate event. We did not inspect streets, telephone the City, verify a construction percentage or obtain an engineering plan. The September 21 plan remains prospective as of this review; later City notices and on-site controls can change access.
