West Monroe’s Building & Development records state that fence construction requires a permit. Confirm that the parcel is actually in West Monroe before using them; City of Monroe and unincorporated Ouachita Parish are different authorities.

Save the parcel or municipal lookup and the reviewing office’s dated confirmation. Do not choose the office from the mailing city alone. The current West Monroe development page should supply the live route.
Reproduce the application facts
The City’s building application collects owner, applicant, property, contractor, project description, value, and acknowledgements. Add a site-plan record showing the proposed fence segments, gates, material, height, and location evidence the City requests.
Use these states:
- jurisdiction confirmed;
- current form and attachments confirmed;
- application submitted;
- corrections answered;
- permit issued with approved plan;
- changes approved;
- inspections completed; and
- final status retained.
The declared value is an application input, not a project-price recommendation or fee quote. Preserve the City assessment separately.
Do not import the neighboring code
Monroe has its own fence rules and decision process. Do not use them to fill a West Monroe gap. If the West Monroe public files do not answer height, placement, repair, or inspection questions, ask West Monroe and store its written response.
