Save the survey, property lines, fence location, height, material, gates, easements, and adjacent streets. For structural or pool-related work, retain construction details and every Building Department permit and inspection record.
The form lists a $45 fee plus a 3% electronic filing charge. If that charge applies to the $45 row alone, the comparison is $45 × 1.03 = $46.35. Use the City’s invoice as the final amount.
The application states a five-business-day review target and six-month expiration. A target is not a guaranteed approval date. Record complete-submission date, correction pauses, issuance, calculated expiration, work date, inspections, and closeout.
A fence that changes material, height, footprint, structural design, or pool relationship should be returned for a routing check. The original Planning record cannot be silently stretched into Building approval.
