Vicksburg’s 2024 water-quality report was published in April 2025. It is not a live water-safety notice, and not every result was sampled in 2024. Some printed values also need clarification before they can support a numerical comparison. LSL checked all three pages rather than treating the report’s title as proof of current conditions. Three rows to clarify before doing arithmetic

These combinations are visible in the original PDF. LSL has not inserted missing decimals, converted a presumed unit or changed a violation flag. The printed ambiguities do not establish that the underlying laboratory data are wrong or that water is safe or unsafe.
The table above is a source-checking aid: it tells a reader exactly which fields to ask about rather than turning an uncertain number into a percentage of a limit.
Ask for clarification that can actually resolve the row
Contact the Water and Gas Office at 601-636-3414 and ask to be routed to the person responsible for the annual report. A useful request is:
I am reading the April 2025 publication covering 2024. Please clarify the [contaminant] row on page 2: its detected level, measurement unit, collection period, reporting statistic and comparison value. Is there a corrected report or an underlying result record explaining this combination?
Keep the response with the report version it addresses. A verbal correction to one field should not become a silent alteration of every related cell. If requesting the current report, name the year you need separately; LSL has not established that the 2024 file is the latest available publication.
EPA’s consumer explanation describes annual reports and directs readers who need a copy to their water supplier or EPA’s report finder. A failed web search is not evidence that a supplier failed to distribute a report.
What this review can and cannot tell you
LSL visually checked the PDF’s columns, sample-year footnote and explanatory text on September 13, 2026. The added tables separate historical measurements from unresolved printed fields. No original laboratory records, property samples or issuer clarification were obtained. No treatment equipment is recommended from these data.
For a current service incident, use the Vicksburg notice-and-release guide and the utility’s actual advisory. For a question about the water at one property, ask the utility which specific investigation or testing route is appropriate; this annual-report comparison cannot test that property.
