Vicksburg’s fireplace-and-stove page says installation requires a permit and identifies additional records by equipment and fuel. Build the file around the exact unit and approved plan; do not reduce it to a generic mechanical receipt.
Name the equipment record
The City’s device-specific page supports fields for appliance or fireplace type, manufacturer, model, listing or installation documents for prefabricated equipment, proposed location, fuel, contractor, plan, and permit. Preserve the documents actually submitted and the City-approved revision.
For gas-related scope, keep the gas-line sketch and any separate trade permit the City requires. A building permit number does not silently prove that fuel work was approved.

The City’s inspection page publishes a request route and advance-request expectation. Verify the current practice and retain the confirmed appointment; a request alone does not authorize concealment or use.
