For a Vicksburg-area driveway or development project, confirm whether the City or Warren County controls the property and road before selecting an application. A “Vicksburg” mailing address does not answer that question.
Warren County publishes three distinct starting points
The County Permit Division page lists:
- a utility right-of-way application;
- a driveway permit for connecting to a county-maintained road, listed as free; and
- a development permit, listed at $25 and payable by cash or check at the office.
The page says the driveway application may be obtained by the contractor or property owner and must be brought to the Permit Division. The $25 development record is not a complete construction-permit total; it is one County row.
Vicksburg operates a separate City process
The City maintains its own building-permit hub and Building and Inspection Department. A County driveway form does not replace City building, zoning, floodplain, historic, utility, or right-of-way review where City authority applies.
Before using either route, document:
- parcel jurisdiction;
- who maintains the connected road;
- whether work enters public right-of-way;
- all structures, utilities, drainage, and grading in the scope;
- the office that confirmed the correct application; and
- every separate permit or review that remains.
