JXN Water’s current fee table lists different charges for different account events. A new-service fee and deposit can total $150 in the simple published-row example. A first returned check is listed at $25. Restoration after disconnection for non-payment is $100. These are separate scenarios—not an all-fee bill.
The published rows
The JXN Water rate page, accessed August 1, 2026, lists:

The page also says JXN Water may waive fees at its sole discretion. That does not promise a waiver, and the table does not establish that every listed charge applies to every account.
Four scenarios—not one total
Starting new service
If the published $50 new-service fee and $100 deposit both apply, the two rows add to $150. Confirm the required amount, timing, and deposit terms through the current service route before relying on the example.
A returned payment
The first listed returned-check amount is $25; the subsequent amount is $40. The page does not establish which row an individual event falls under without account history.
Restoring service after non-payment
The specific listed restoration charge is $100. It is not a usage charge, deposit, late balance, or promise that service will be restored at a particular time.
Meter tampering
The listed amount is $500. It is deliberately kept out of routine account scenarios. Do not open, alter, bypass, or interfere with utility equipment; contact JXN Water about a reading or service issue.
Why an “all fees” total would mislead
Adding $50, $100, $25, $40, $100, and $500 would produce mathematically correct arithmetic attached to a fictional event. The triggers are not simultaneous in the table, the two returned-check rows represent different histories, and waiver/account decisions are not shown.
For a real issue, identify the event, copy the exact account line, preserve the date, and ask JXN Water which current rule applies. Keep usage charges, availability charges, balances, and event fees in separate columns.
Methodology and limitations
Local Service Ledger transcribed six public fee rows on August 1, 2026 and built four mutually distinct scenarios. We performed only the $50 + $100 example arithmetic. We did not access an account, determine eligibility, test a meter, or request a fee waiver.
