Kissimmee Utility Authority’s tree-trimming request form expressly excludes emergencies such as arcing wires or branches on electric lines. KUA directs emergency situations to 407-933-9898. Do not wait for a routine form response when immediate help is needed. KUA tree requests
Choose the correct lane from a safe location
| Situation | Appropriate next step |
|---|---|
| Electrical hazard or immediate danger | Stay clear and use emergency reporting; call 911 when needed |
| Routine tree growth threatening utility infrastructure | Use KUA’s routine request process |
| Tree issue unrelated to utility equipment | Ask an appropriate private tree service about the non-utility work |
KUA says its trimming is limited to trees on its easements or rights-of-way and trees endangering its power lines or equipment. That is not a general offer to prune every tree at a customer’s home.
Check that the routine request arrived
The form page contains an important receipt warning: if an immediate confirmation email does not arrive, KUA may not have received the submission. It advises resubmitting or calling customer service at 407-933-9800.
Save the confirmation and the location reported. A submission receipt establishes intake, not an inspection result or a scheduled pruning date.
Describe the tree from a safe distance; do not climb, measure clearance, cut branches or approach a downed line to complete a report. Leave line-adjacent work to the responsible qualified crews.
This guide distinguishes the emergency, routine-utility and private-work routes. It does not determine ownership, authorize a removal or promise when KUA will dispatch a crew.
