Prepare the person and device, not an invented upload package
The County’s remote-inspection form, version 1.1 dated June 2, 2021, identifies an onsite contact and requires a video-capable, internet-connected mobile device with microphone, camera and location access. It links to a device compatibility test. The form also warns that recordings may be subject to public-record requests.
LSL’s pre-call check is simple: confirm that the person whose contact details were supplied will have the device at the work location, can receive the inspection communication and knows which permitted work is being inspected. Review the form’s privacy warning before the call. Do not assume that sending photographs is an approved substitute for the inspection.
Neither the current list nor that form supplies a universal shot list, photo resolution, file naming scheme or upload checklist. Ask the inspector what must be shown for the actual stage. This guide does not instruct anyone to climb onto a roof, open energized equipment or expose concealed work for a camera.
Resolve the old form’s scheduling instructions
The 2021 form describes email requests, three preferred half-hour windows and an 8 a.m. cutoff for same-day requests. The current landing page instead points readers to Fast Track. Start with the current scheduling route and ask the County whether the older form is needed; neither a requested window nor the historical cutoff guarantees an appointment. Form, current instructions
If the device cannot support the call, the correct inspection type is unavailable, or the inspector cannot see what is needed, ask how to reschedule or obtain the appropriate inspection. These are preparation contingencies, not an LSL-invented list of County pass/fail criteria. An appointment or connected call is not a passed inspection result.
