Match the exact program name

The July FAQ says Disaster Relief Reimbursement and Homebuyer Assistance closed to new applications July 31, 2026; applications received by the deadline continue through review. It separately says Homeowner Rehabilitation/Reconstruction, Local Landlord and Homeowner Reimbursement remain open. Those are the statuses described in the dated FAQ, not a promise that funding is reserved for an individual. Application-status distinctions

In particular, “Homeowner Reimbursement” and “Disaster Relief Reimbursement” are not interchangeable labels. Save the exact program name shown on your application confirmation.

For unfinished repairs, check the rehabilitation screen

The August 1 rehabilitation page describes assistance for qualifying hurricane-damaged primary residences. It excludes properties within the City of St. Petersburg, which has separate recovery funding. Ownership, occupancy, storm damage and household eligibility still require review.

Before using the application route, organize the property’s location, ownership and occupancy evidence, remaining damage and previous assistance. This is a preparation list, not a determination that a home qualifies or that a particular repair will be paid.

Keep sensitive documents with the assigned intake channel

The FAQ warns against emailing personal documents to the general recover@pinellas.gov address because those messages can be subject to public-records requests. Use the program’s application or assigned caseworker instructions instead. It also explains that rehabilitation participants do not simply choose their own program contractor.
